Great Reads for
Spring
James Patterson's new novel
"worst Case" is one not to be missed. In this novel
Detective Michael Bennett is investigating a most unusual
kidnapping case. Wealthy youth are being kidnapped and
quizzed about the price others are paying for their lives of
ease. The cost for answering the questions wrong could be
their life.
"Roses" by Leila Meacham is a story that has multigenerational
ties. This story is set in Texas and spans three
generations of Texas Women who confront the affects of family
secrets and the challenges of the land they own. This is
the story of family relationships, love, and if only's.
Readers of Nicholas Sparks
book "Last Song' are likely to relate to the troubled family
relations presented there. This story begins when a young
woman who is sent to live with a father she has been angry
with for years. It is a story of first love and renewing
family relationships.
If you enjoyed "Glass
Castles" by Jeanette Walls you are likely to enjoy "Half Broke
Horses" by the same author. "Half Broke Horses" is about
Ms. Walls grandmother's experiences growing up in West Texas in
the early 1900's. This book is a great follow up to the
memoirs presented in Ms. Walls' previous book.
This is just a glimpse at the
latest titles that are available. We invite you to come
into the Duchesne or Roosevelt Libraries and check out our new

September Service Spotlight
Public Pioneer
Now that the hectic summer
schedule has been replaced by the back to school routine the
library staff would like to spotlight Public Pioneer. For
those of you unfamiliar with Pioneer this is an online resource
for all your research needs. Through Pioneer you can
access full-text magazine and newspaper articles, learn how to
repair your car, research your genealogy, and much more.
The great thing about Pioneer is that it can be accessed from
your home computer with an access code. Library staff
members can provide you with the access code all you need to do
is ask.
