Duchesne County is a great place to come home to, for 14,000 plus people that are the county's greatest assets and live within the Duchesne County boundaries. Duchesne County starts at the west gate, of the Uintah Basin and extends to it's heart. It sits at the base of the Uintah Mountains and is watched over by Noreeta (a mountain that forms a sleeping lady) which is a part of the great Uintah Mountains.
