Requirements for Obtaining a Duchesne County Beer and Liquor License.
For a class "C" on premise, you must obtain an alcohol license from both the Utah State government and your local government before your business can sell alcoholic beverages.
Contact the Utah Division of Alcoholic Beverages Control. The state has its own requirements for issuing a beer or liquor license, and you will need both a state and local license in order to operate your business. You can contact the DABC at (801) 977-6800.
If your business is located in an unincorporated part of Duchesne County, come to Room
21 of the Duchesne County Clerk/Auditor's office at 734 North Center in Duchesne or call 738-1120 for an application.

Beer
License Application
You will need a zoning approval from the Planning & Zoning Administrator.
Business License Zone Clearance
The County Sheriff will need to do a background check before recommending approval of the license.
Once you have fulfilled all the requirements for zoning and have been approved by the Sheriffs department, your application will go before the County Commission at a regular commission meeting for final recommendation. . If you are requesting a class "C" license, you then notify the DABC that you have met all the requirements to be issued an alcohol license from the County.
The process of obtaining a Beer or Liquor License could take up to three weeks.
The fees vary depending on the classification of your license.
Your County license will expire on December 31 of each year and must be renewed by that date.
